South Carolina resident Heather Causey is a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA) at Columbus Regional Hospital in Whiteville, North Carolina. She previously served in the same position at McLeod Loris Seacoast in Loris. Her duties as a CRNA involve supporting medical teams with anesthesia services during surgical procedures. Heather Causey began her nursing career as a registered nurse at the Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach between 2003 and 2006.
Heather Causey has practiced regional, general, and sedation anesthesia, as well as pediatric and geriatric anesthesia. She is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
Ms. Causey earned her nursing degree from the Medical University of South Carolina following a pre-nursing program at Coastal Carolina University. She was an honors and president’s list student, as well as a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society. She later returned to the program to complete an anesthesia program. In her free time, she enjoys playing the piano and spending time with her family.
